Jul 21, 2010 It can record and playback MIDI Sysex. The Quadraverb can initiate the Sysex dump. I'm pretty sure it detailed in the manual. You will need a midi interface on your computer and 2 midi cables to wire the quadraverb to the interface (in-out and out-in). The midi interface I use is builtin to my soundcard.
A MIDI patch editor to help you with your work.
QuadEdit is an easy to use, handy midi patch editor specially designed for the Alesis Quadraverb GT effects processor.
- Switching the Quadraverb off and on will not fix the problem. The only way to resolve the problem is to press the program and bypass buttons down as the Quadraverb is turned on, and to hold them down until the unit displays the edit buffer patch. This will initialize all programs and settings to their factory defaults.
- Alesis Quadraverb GT Patch Editor Introduction. As of v0.3.0, jmididevice feature a MidiDevice implementation for the Alesis Quadraverb GT. From the main window, it can be opened through the Device/New/Alesis Quadrverb GT menu item.
- Adjacent to this are two rotary pots for input and output levels, as expected, but there's no mix level control. Oddly enough, the Quadraverb omits this very useful control. Of course, the effect/dry balance can be changed by accessing and editing a couple of effect parameters, but I think that most users, myself included, would prefer a real knob.
QuadEdit can load patches from the Quadraverb or raw SysEx/Quadraverb files, edit patches, save them to disk and write patches back to the Quadraverb.

Consider buying this one, what about support for newer ableton versions? Will maintain with updates etc?
Hey junologue, my editors are all build with the latest versions of Max and Live, and I am constantly maintaining and updating them. I use them all myself for my own music, and of course I also want them to work for everyone who purchased them :-) Cheers!
I bought both this and the Alpha Juno editor, and they're both fantastic. If I could make a suggestion, I'd love to see Sysex patch loading/saving, if that's possible. Also, if you ever think about making a similar editor for the Quadraverb, I'd pick that up in a second. Great stuff!
